PRESS RELEASE

Euncet Business School concludes the 2023-2024 academic year with its graduation ceremonies for Bachelor’s Degrees, Master’s Degrees and Executive Education

The business school affiliated to the UPC celebrated the end of its students' academic journey with two ceremonies that took place in the emblematic Auditori de Barcelona and the Campus Terrassa

Euncet Business School ends the 2023-2024 academic year of its Bachelor’s Degrees, Master’s Degrees and Executive Education training programs. The main end-of-year event took place last Saturday, July 13, in the emblematic Pau Casals Room of the Auditori de Barcelona, where about 250 Bachelor's and Master's students and their families gathered to celebrate their Graduation Ceremony

The presidential table of the ceremony was made up of the Director of the Euncet Business School university centre, Mr. Carles Josep Bonet i Revés, the President of the school's Board of Directors, Mr. Rafel Niubò Baquè, Mrs. Anna Pruna i Grivé, member of the same body, and the Director of the Bachelor’s Degrees in Business Administration and Management and Marketing and Digital Communication, Dr. Cristina Cáliz Rivera. The speaker of the event was teacher Carolina Llacher.

Bonet was in charge of welcoming the students and their companions with his welcome speech, while Niubò dedicated a few words to the students on behalf of the rector of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (institution to which Euncet has been affiliated since 1996), Dr. Daniel Crespo. After the presentations, the graduates enjoyed a special presentation given by their guest of honour, a role that this year fell to Mr. Santiago Nolla Zayas, director of Mundo Deportivo and renowned journalist with more than 50 years of experience in media.

In his speech, titled “El día después”, the communicator briefly reviewed his career to illustrate the characteristics that, from his point of view, a professional must meet to find his place in the labour market. In this regard, Nolla highlighted patience, attitude and not prioritising money in the beginning as key elements to consider. “If you meet these conditions, you will always have a job, I assure you”, he declared. To finish, the sports journalist made a simile between the students' graduation and the Euro 2024 final, stating that, like the young Lamine Yamal, the students have shown that they have a promising future ahead of them.

Before finishing the event with the speeches of the representatives of the graduates, they received their certificates of participation and the Awards for the Best Academic Record of each of the programs were presented, as well as the Awards for the Best Bachelor’s Thesis and Best Master's Thesis.

The event was sponsored by Motor Munich, official dealer of BMW, MINI and Motorrad, which, on the occasion of the event, placed several MINI models at the entrance to the venue and offered Euncet graduate students special conditions for the purchase of their vehicles.

Closing Ceremony of the Executive Education Programs

On the other hand, the first of the closing events of the Euncet Business School academic year was held last Friday, July 5, with the Closing Ceremony of its Executive Education programs, in a more informal ceremony held at the Aula Magna of the Campus Terrassa.

The meeting began with a welcome speech from Dr. Jessica Lingan, the director of Executive Education at the university. In it, the teacher emphasised the value of academic institutions in the current context of technological and political-social disruption: “They offer us a theoretical base that is applicable now, but that will also be applicable in 10 years, no matter how much the surface of things changes”.

The event also had the collaboration of Motor Munich, which participated with the interventions of Ms. Glòria Torres Navarro, Manager of Motor Munich and Motor Munich Cadí, and Mr. Èric Agustí, Marketing Director of Motor Munich. The latter starred in a presentation titled “Metes, reptes i oportunitats”, which revolved around one of the most important aspects to consider in the marketing department of a company: the concept of branding.

Furthermore, in parallel with the academic recognition of the most brilliant students of the promotion, the Euncet Business School team made an emotional recognition to teacher Ricardo Aguirreche with an award in honour of his entire career at the university, which was presented to him by Mr. Mercè Arnero, director of the Admissions, Marketing and Communication Department of the business school.

The gala ended with the Executive Fest, a party for graduating professionals where they could enjoy an appetiser and drinks, as well as a live DJ session, to celebrate the end of their academic stage.
